Electrical Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of control system design for the operation and functionality of industrial press feeding equipment. This position includes control system design, control software programming, documentation and development. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Control system design for new product development of industrial equipment.
  • Creation and modification of PLC programming, using ladder logic, function block, and structured text.
  • Graphical user interface design, programming and implementation.
  • Software debugging of prototype and production units.
  • Creation of drawings using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and Inventor.
  • Creation of BOM’s using INFOR business system.
  • Assist with creation of instruction and operating manuals.
  • Trouble shooting of assembly floor and customer start-up problems.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience working with electrical engineering and controls
  • Knowledge of NEC, UL, CSA, & CE standards
  • Proficiency with AB Compact Logix Controllers (with motion control), Studio 5000, RS Logix 500, Factory Talk  View Studio
  • Familiar with AC variable frequency drives (up to 15HP) and fractional HP DC drives
  • Familiar with 120V single phase motors and 230/460V three phase motors
  • Familiar with safety relays, E-Stops and sensors (limit, proximity, IR, laser)
  • Ethernet, Modbus, RS485 communication
  • Other PLCs used: Koyo, Klick, Panasonic
  • 24VDC control circuits 

Electrical/Mechanical Assembler

The Electrical/Mechanical Assembler will work closely with other assemblers to build capital equipment primarily used in the stamping industry and connect related components. You must be able to read blueprints, know how to use a variety of hand and power tools, and be able to stand for extended periods.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for using equipment such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, crimping tools, cutters, and any other equipment that will assist in the satisfactory performance of duties.
  • Build equipment based on accurate and efficient interpretation of drawings, schematics, blueprints, and sketches
  • Test and inspect components for uniformity and quality
  • Maintain a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers
  • Responsible for good housekeeping of individual work area
 
Requirements:
  • Mechanical skills and experience with hand tools and portable power tools
  • Electrical skills and background
  • Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Understanding of the metal forming and wire forming industries preferred
  • Experience with material handling equipment is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience
  • High school diploma or GED required

Entry Level Machinist

Entry level Machinist will perform a variety of basic machining operations utilizing shop equipment and tooling to support the manufacturing department goals. The machining environment is focused more on custom parts versus volume and correcting nonconformities on existing parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform a variety of manual operations on machine shop equipment including lathes, cutoff saw, Bridgeport mill, etc.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to determine tolerances and dimensions of machined parts
  • Set-up parts on CNC milling machine. This includes running and testing programs, minor program edits, setting tool offsets.
  • Perform in-process checks to ensure the parts are conforming to the print
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all equipment
  • Complete required paperwork and labor reporting
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Provide assistance to other employees when needed

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric tolerances
  • Ability to use Machine Shop Gauges and machines
  • To be proficient in general math
  • To be able to lift at least 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Zero to two years of related machining/operating experience required
